Currie's Currie's and more Currie's
Indian food is the most popular food in the UK but not as you might find in India, the food which has become the nations favourite was created for the British palate my first generation migrant workers from Sylhet( a hilly district region of Bangladesh). In fact the there are over 12000 Bangladeshi owned and run Restaurants and Take-Away’s in the UK which are referred to as Indian not Bangladeshi Restaurants.
The dish chicken tikka Masala has become the national dish of the UK, which was created by Sylheti chefs and first appeared on the menus in the 60’s..!!

I dont know when the first generation workers came to the UK but if it was before 1947, then Bangladesh was a part of India then and so I would argue you could call it Indian food. But anyways, the bottomline is I really enjoyed the food and the beer, and am looking foward to visiting your country again.
